Situated 120km (75 miles) from Arusha, Tarangire National Park is easily accessible and boasts magnificent herds of elephant and other species of wildlife. The baobab studded landscape also plays host to a vast variety of resident and migratory bird life. Looking out over the rolling countryside the lodge is a tranquil oasis set in over 2,600 sq kms (900 sq miles) of National Park. The Tarangire flows north to south year-round and sustains an abundance of fauna and flora rarely seen elsewhere

Location: The lodge is located on the eastern side of the Tarangire River opposite Tarangire Hill. The Tarangire National Park is 120kms (75 miles) from Arusha by road and is one of Tanzania's most easily accessible conservation areas. The Park is a 2,600sq km (900sq mile) area of remarkable beauty and rewarding game drives and is on the traditional migration route of several species of wildlife. The lodge is 30kms (20 miles) from the park entrance gate, about an hour's drive through an area rich in wildlife. The alternative is a 20 minute chartered flight from Arusha followed by a 45 minute drive through plentiful wildlife to the lodge.

Altitude & Climate: With an altitude of 1,100 meters (3,660 feet), the lodge enjoys warm weather for most of the year. Seasonal rains in November and December and between April and June bring new growth to the otherwise dry plains and savannah.
